The RÜCKL CRYSTAL a.s. glassworks in Nižbor manufactures an extensive range of cut 24% leaded crystal in a wide variety of decorations from the simple to extremely complex and laborious decorations, with gilt, hand painting and sandblasting.

The company has extended its range by constructing new processing capacities those being sandblasting, gilding and hand painting technologies. Likewise it has expanded its usual range of packaging and special representative packaging in line with our customers’ wishes.

The company was chosen for the production and supply of official state gifts due to the very high quality of its products and services.

It has 165 employees and its main export destinations are: USA, Countries of the Near and Middle East, Japan, Singapore and Russia.

In 2007 the company realised the project “Innovation in Designing and Cutting Glass Smelt Aggregate”. This project was co-financed by the European Fund for Regional Development and the Czech Ministry for Trade and Industry in the framework of the Operational programme for industry and business (OPPP).

In the framework of the Operational Programme Enterprise and Innovation - Potential - Call II, the company built an “Innovation Research Centre”. This comprehensive project was implemented in three stages and aimed at developing and innovating both production processes and the end products. The project was completed 27 September 2012 and the company - Nižbor Glassworks - greatly enriched its innovative activity and commercial presentation.

In the framework of the ICT Programme in enterprises - Call III the company is implementing Project 2.2 ITP03/705 “Rückl CRYSTAL Information Technology” - the project’s aim is mainly to procure fixed assets (tangible and intangible) and consulting services. The programme is part of the OPEI, the managing authority of which is the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the CR. The project is co-funded through EU participation - European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).


In the framework of the Operational Programme Human Resources and Employment supported by the European Social Fund ESF - EDUCA, the company is involved in a project entitled “Rückl Crystal Nižbor Professional Glassmaking Academy”.
